About

About Us

Welcome to Hampden FCC, where the teachings of Jesus instill in us the Holy Spirit encouraging us to live our lives by the will of God.

Serving the community for more than two centuries, we are more than a church; we are a vibrant community dedicated to fostering connections, nurturing spirits, and celebrating the diverse tapestry of faith.  At FCC, our vision is to create a haven where individuals can explore, embrace, and enrich their spiritual paths.  We envision a community united by love, compassion, and a shared commitment to making a positive impact both within our walls and beyond.

We invite you to be a part of our "Connecting in the Spirit".

Join us in an environment where every person, regardless of their background or beliefs, feels welcomed, supported, and inspired. Through worship, outreach, education, and creative expressions, we aim to empower individuals on their unique journeys of faith and personal growth.
The mission of the Federated Community Church is to create a safe place to know and experience God’s love, to learn the stories and ways of Jesus, and to carry faith, hope and love into the world.

Our Leadership

Pastor Eunji Lee

Lead Pastor

Pastor Eunji Lee began serving as pastor of Hampden Federated Community Church in July 2025. She grew up in a Christian family on Ganghwa Island, South Korea. She studied theology at Methodist Theological University in Seoul, where she earned both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree, and served as a youth pastor at her home church, Naega Korean Methodist Church.

In 2010, she came to the U.S. to join Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in Salem, Oregon. Over the next ten years, she led short-term mission teams to 16 countries, gaining deep cross-cultural ministry experience and a heart for discipleship. After her time with YWAM, she earned her Master of Divinity at Boston University School of Theology, where she also served as a ministry intern at St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church in West Roxbury, MA. Pastor Eunji Lee is passionate about worship, building inclusive communities, and helping others encounter the presence of God in everyday life. Her ministry is shaped by a desire to walk alongside others with compassion, humility, and hope. She loves playing the piano in worship, walking, journaling, watching dramas, and traveling. She also enjoys coffee and exploring new cultures through local food.

Jocelyn Smith

Christian Education Coordinator

Jocelyn believes that it is a privilege to teach and pray for our children. “When we teach them God’s ways through Scripture, they bring God’s light and love to the future generations. As children learn about Christ and Biblical Principles, they will know a better way to navigate through life as they grow into adulthood. They will bring God’s love and light wherever they go.”  As a result of the children knowing Jesus Christ, Jocelyn’s hope is that their joy and Godly wisdom be apparent in all they do and become.

In addition to her position as the Christian Education Coordinator, Jocelyn is also a Deacon, and she attends Bible Studies as well as Prayer Meetings. She was a sponsor for many confirmands throughout the years.
She attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst and received her Bachelor’s in Business. She then went on to continue her education at Western New England University in Springfield, MA and received her Master’s degrees in Business and in Information Systems. A few years after receiving her most recent degree from WNE, she decided to stay home and be with her family to raise her children and get more involved in the community.
When Jocelyn is not working at Federated Community Church, she loves spending time with her family. Their love and encouragement have been the foundation of her strength in pursuing her passion in learning more about God. She is married to Don, with whom she has three children: Jarrod, Gillian, and Andi. Her son, Jarrod, is a mechanical and electrical engineer in the outskirts of Boston, MA. Her daughter, Gillian,  is a financial analyst in the center of Boston. Her younger daughter, Andi, is a payroll administrator at Western New England University in Springfield, MA. Jocelyn enjoys visiting with friends, playing tennis, bike rides, taking nature walks, watching movies and going to art museums with her husband.
